Once again the weather was in our favour as 19 teams descended upon Mark Hall’s all-weather pitch to take part in the annual Year 3 and 4 football festival. Once again the standard of play was impressive throughout as was the levels of sportsmanship from both the players and spectators. With nearly 20 teams and limited time, it proved impossible to reach a final, so the groups played out their games with the results producing the four placing’s. The results were as follows:
Group 1
Pemberley 1 – Winners
St Lukes – Runners-Up
St NIcholas
Henry Moore 2
Pemberley 2
Group 2
Cooks Spinney – Winners
Henry Moore 1– Runners-Up
Freshwaters
Henry Moore 3
Little Parndon
Group 3
Holy Cross – Winners
Purford Green – Runners-Up
The Downs A
Pera Tree Mead
The Downs B
Group 4
Church Langley – Winners
Roydon – Runners-Up
Potter Street
St Albans
Huge thanks were given at the event to the fantastic staff who helped officiate throughout the morning; we simply couldn’t run such a large festival (and have it run so efficiently!) without their selfless support. Thank you all.
