Once again, I am giving huge thanks or all the amazing work to all the school staff and volunteers who helped make this year’s swimming galas such a huge success. Despite a few issues with some weak swimmers, it was amazing to see so many competent swimmers enjoying themselves; even those who were nervous made great progress. Even more pleasing was how ‘slick’ the event was considering there were a couple of issues with teams arriving late for the afternoon; we finished the afternoon by 2.45pm, which delighted the Leisure Zone and makes it easier for us to get a re-booking! Thanks to Gill Pardoe and Nicola Arnold for organising teams and starting the races and to Harry Stacey and Luke Hammond (SGO) for officiating the heats and ensuring medals were given to the winners of the combined heats.
Congratulations to all the competitors and to the teams from Henry Moore for triumphing across both galas with substantial leads.
The results were as follows (like cross country, lowest scores were best):
Years 3 and 4
Years 5 and 6
