Henry Moore secure 3 tees Victory

Howzat?

What an amazing morning for the 3tees (advanced) Tournament; 13 teams came to the Harlow Town Cricket Club to apply their skills at batting, fielding and teamwork. The youngsters from Years 1 and 2 were awesome and the standard of play was exceptional – we were treated to some huge hits, a couple of catches and great displays of sportsmanship. The smiles from the children were echoed by the staff and huge number of spectators, who revelled in the speed at which the children adapted to and applied the new rules.

Teams participating were: Henry Moore A, B, C, D and E; Tanys Dell; Pear Tree Mead A and B; Church Langley A and B; Jerounds A and B; and Water Lane.

After some group games, two teams from Henry Moore and two from Pear Tree Mead contested the final grouping. The final matches were very close affairs with the decisive moments being the accurate scoring of extra pints and some very tight running around the stumps. All 4 teams performed really well and have certainly raised the standard for others to emulate; the final placing saw Henry Moore 5, take first place from Henry Moore 4 and then Pear Tree Mead A; we wish Henry Moore all the very best in the forthcoming County Finals at Billericay Cricket Club on Wednesday 11th July 2018.
