Congratulations to all the 10 teams who had qualified for this year’s Hockey Finals at Mark Hall Academy. Despite another bitterly cold afternoon, the children produced some fantastic Hockey. The 10 finalists were divided into two groups and after 10 rounds of matches the results were as follows:
Group 1
Henry Moore A – 12 points
Church Langley B – 9 points
Nazeing A – 7 points
Little Parndon B – 7 points
St Lukes – 5 points
Group 2
Church Langley A – 11 points
St Albans – 9 points
Fawbert and Barnard – 8 points
Henry Moore B – 7 points
Nazeing B – 5 points
The 3rd/4thplace playoff was a tight affair, with St Albans narrowly edging Church Langley B by a goal to nil. The final was equally as tense, with Henry Moore A entering as clear favourites winning every game in the qualifiers and the finals. However it was Church Langley A, who took the lead and managed to prevent Henry Moore from getting into their stride, securing a 1-0 win. We wish Church Langley A the very best of luck as they enter the County Finals at Joyce Franklin Academy later in the term.
