Henry Moore Become Harlow School Sport Partnership Football Champions 2012

On Tuesday 23rd October 2012 8 Harlow Primary school football teams turned up on a foggy day at Passmores Academy to compete for the title of Harlow Boys Champions 2012.

The schools had all come in the top three of their qualifying events to make the final with a total of 28 primary school teams having entered the event meaning over 280 boys from Harlow Primary schools have taken part.

The teams in the final were from Church Langley, Fawbert & Barnard, Henry Moore, Kingsmoor, Little Parndon, Milwards, Nazeing, and William Martin Junior School.

After some very close group matches Church Langley, Henry Moore, Little Parndon and Nazeing going through to compete in the semi-finals. With Henry Moore beating Church Langley in a tense and very close penalty shoot out and Nazeing overcoming Little Parndon in another close match the final line up was settled.

The final itself was another close run thing with Henry Moore scoring the only goal of the game and hanging onto to take the trophy with a 1-0 win. Henry Moore will now represent Harlow at the county final taking place on 22nd November 2012.

Full results from the event can be viewed at www.harlowssp.co.uk.

The final was delivered in partnership with, and fully supported by Harlow College Football Academy and Passmores Academy.
