Harlow School Sports Partnership - Indoor Athletics St Lukes Lead the way!
On Tuesday 6th March 2012, 120 Primary school athletes from 4 Harlow Primary schools turned out to compete for the title of Harlow SSP Sportshall Athletic Champions 2012. The event took place at Passmores Academy in their brand new sports hall.
Sportshall Athletics comprises a series of track and field events where schools compete against each other to achieve a final team score with the highest scoring team winning.
After some incredibly fierce (but fair) competition between the schools St Lukes came out on top with a total of 150 points. They were closely followed by last years champions Latton Green who had 146. Church Langley finished 3rd with 120 and Pear Tree Mead came 4th with 78.
The event was fully supported by and delivered in partnership with Passmores Academy who in addition to helping out with all aspects of the event also provided excellent young leaders who were a massive help and were a credit to their school.
George Gardiner Partnership Manger; Harlow SSP said “it was great to see everyone involved competing with such positive attitude and well done to St Luke’s for coming out on top in a very close competition. Everyone who took part deserves a massive thank you for making it a success, but in particular I would like to thank Passmores Academy who have been strong partners in delivering this event.
