On Tuesday 11th October 2011 12 teams from 7 Harlow Primary schools turned up to the brand new Passmores Academy to compete for the title of Harlow Girls Champions 2011.
The teams were from Church Langley, Harlowbury, Pear Tree Mead, Latton Green, Roydon, St Lukes and St Nicholas and in total there were 120 girls taking party in the event.
The final again was a very close game and Church Langley edged the game scoring the only goal from a free kick just outside the area to become champions.
The event was played in great spirit by all and George Gardiner Partnership Development Manger; Harlow SSP said “it was wonderful to see so many girls playing football and I am pleased to say that this is the highest ever enter we have had for this event. Everyone who has taken part in today deserves a massive thank you for making the day such a success, but in particular I would like to thank Mark Hall Youth FC and Passmores Academy as they have been strong partners in delivering this event!”
