On Tuesday 9th March, Kingsmoor played in a football tournament against other schools in Essex-we were representing Harlow. The first match we played we drew and the next couple of matches we won all of them. We got into the semi final but lost from there so we came 4th out of 12 schools. After we all cried we went home. We would like to thank Mrs Winder, Mr Pearson and Luke for arranging our football training and tournament.
By the Year 5 & 6 football team: Magnus Koskocan, Nathan Stokes, Ryan Clark, Jordan Marsh, Ronnie Johnstone, Tommy Wickenden, Tommy Edwards, Bradley Russell, Michael Bow.
Kingsmoor were drawn in Pool A alongside Rayleigh, St Thomas Primary, Richard De Claire, Stanway Fiveways and Mildmay.
Results:
Richard De Claire 1 Kingsmoor 1
Kingsmoor 2 Mildmay 0
Kingsmoor 3 Rayleigh 0
Kingsmoor 4 Stanway Fiveways 0
Semi Final St Thomas Primary 0 Kingsmoor 0
This game went to extra time. The score was still level and it then went to penalties and St Thomas won.
At Kingsmoor, we are all very proud of the boys who represented themselves, their school and Harlow really well. We would like to thank the Harlow School Sports Partnership for giving us this opportunity to take part in a fantastic, well organised football tournament.
