Key Steps Gymnastics - Amazing Performances

Wow! And probably Wow again! What an amazing day!

Yet again, everyone involved with Harlow School Sport can feel incredibly proud of the opportunities that we have worked together to provide for the children in our town. Through the dedication and commitment of the school staff, supported ably by Peter James (Harlow Gymnastics Club) and SGO, David Stacey – over 150 gymnasts were able to showcase their talents and a large audience applauded the children’s efforts.

The event was dividing into 3 age categories with the youngest competitors starting the day, followed by the Years 3 and 4 , before finishing with the eldest children (years 5 and 6). All the gymnasts competed in 3 elements (Vault, Floor and Body Management Routine) and their individual scores were combined to produce a team score. Judging was completed by members of the Harlow Gymnastics Club and the Great Parndon Community Association was a fantastic backdrop for some breath-taking performances. Special mentions to the children from Henry Moore, who competed very strongly across all age groups (winning two and finishing a very close runner-up in the third); and well done to the 5 children form Milwards who, despite being a gymnast short due to illness, recorded some fantastic individual scores.
