Congratulations and huge thanks to everyone who helped make the Swimming galas such a huge success again. It was amazing to see so many competent swimmers enjoying themselves; even those who were nervous made great progress. Even more pleasing was how ‘slick’ the event was; we finished the afternoon by 2.30pm, which delighted the Leisure Zone and makes it easier for us to get a re-booking! Thank you to all the school staff for the lovely comments regarding the Sports Leaders; the 5 Year 6 girls from Church Langley were invaluable throughout both events. The support they provided to score and deliver medals, reduced the waiting significantly. Thanks hugely to Arnold Worton-Geer for managing the start of the races so well – not 1 full-start in 40 races!
Apologies to the girls in Year 5 Freestyle race but it was impossible to record all 8 placings and the use of the ipad to record the finish of each race, made it possible to get the correct results – particularly as many were so close and literally required a photo-finish!
Congratulations to all the competitors and to the Henry Moore for triumphing across both gala with substantial leads.
The results were as follows:
Years 3 and 4
Years 5 and 6
