1000 Day untill Paralympics

Dear School

Inspiring a new generation of children and young people related to the Olympic theme and support the 2012 legacy

1000 days to go and counting

Activities could be as simple as organising a lunch time activity where children take part in 1000 skips.  Your school may have a lunch time or after school activity already taking place where you could incorporate 1000.

If your school is interested in taking part please contact the Essex Carrying the Flame team by Friday 6th November on 01268 769646 or email Kelly Harman, [email protected].

Those schools who participate will stand the chance of winning a visit from an Essex Young Ambassador.  The Essex Carrying the Flame team will also ensure case studies and photos are loaded onto the London 2012 website to show school involvement.

So why not use this day to celebrate 1000 days until the start of the Paralympics and get children and young people to start thinking about what they are going to be doing in the next 1000 days.

Enclosed are ideas/examples for organising an event to celebrate 1000 days.

Yours sincerely
