Firstly thanks to all the school staff for their support and efforts during today’s Boccia events at Mark Hall Sports Centre. Having learnt from last year – we spilt the Boccia and Kurling (which is next Friday) into separate events; this allowed us more time to focus on one sport and provide greater opportunities. Both events were very well attended – with 24 teams in each.
The morning’s events ran really well with many children adapting to the new game with confidence. Having played their opengin group matches, the teams were re-pooled with the strongest teams entering Groups 1 and 2 and the developing teams playing in groups 3-6. There were no overall winners as this event is a festival.
Teams entering the Years 3/4 Boccia Festival were re-grouped (see below):
Group 1 - Latton Green, Pear Tree Mead 1, Cooks Spinney 3 and Milwards 1
Group 2 - St Lukes, Tanys Dell 1, St Albans and Abbotswled
Group 3 – Pear Tree Mead 2, Church Langley 3, William Martin Jrs and Tanys Dell 2
Group 4 – Cooks Spinney 2, Jerounds, Hatfield Heath and Church Langley 2
Group 5 – Freshwaters, Pemberley 1, Milwards 2 and Milwards 3
Group 6 – Cooks Spinney 1, Holy Cross, Church Langley 1 and Pemberley 2
