1.2.3…GO TEAM!

This wasn’t actually one of the Cheers that were performed by the adults on a recent Cheerleading and Dance CPD event held at Pear Tree Mead. However, the fantastic  morning session was led by Mikey Smith from Oblivion Allstars with an objective to prepare the adults to ‘coach’ their schools for the forthcoming inaugural Cheer Leading Festival later in the academic year.

A great time was had by all; Mikey was amazingly knowledgeable and patient as ‘some’ of the more mature members struggled to co-ordinate their jumps, claps, actions and movements…this was before any stunts were introduced! A HUGE thank you to Pear Tree Mead (Kim McCombie) for hosting at such short notice and to the 10 staff members who participated fully with great enthusiasm and enjoyment. We are very much looking forward to seeing the progression from the training to the Festival; Mikey will be working closely with the coaches and schools in the coming months to offer further advice.
