Years 3 and 4 enjoy Basketball festival

Despite the slightly cramped conditions inside the hall at Mark Hall Sports Centre, the 16 teams (approximately 100 children) had a great time developing their basketball skills in a friendly-festival. The standard of play improved throughout the afternoon as the students of various abilities began to explore possibilities and recognise limitations; this should hold them in great stead for future events.

Thanks as always to the staff and umpires who help to ensure the events run so smoothly – finishing on time or before is definitely becoming the ‘norm’ now. The final results are as below:

Group 1

1stPlace - Tanys Dell B (12 points)

2ndPlace - St Lukes A (10 points)

= 3rdPlace – Church Langley A and B! (7 points)

= 3rdPlace – Milwards (7 points)

4thPlace – St James A (4 points)

 

Group 2

1stPlace – Roydon A (10 points)

= 2ndPlace - St Lukes B (8 points)

= 2ndPlace – Tanys Dell A (8 points)

= 3rdPlace – St James B (6 points)

= 3rdPlace – The Downs A (6 points)
