St Lukes/Henry Moore share Football spoils

Congratulations to both St Lukes and The Henry Moore who shared this year's Football Finals Trophy after the final match finished 0-0. With 8 teams qualifying from previous week's rounds, The pool matches pitted the teams in two groups of 4 with St Lukes triumphing over Church Langley, Purford Green and Water Lane; Henry Moore succeeding against Fawbert and Barnards, St Albans and Nazeing. The standard of play was very high throughout and the level of sportsmanship on display was excellent.

The final was a tense affair, with the Henry Moore school peppering the St Luke's keeper who managed to somehow kept the ball out of the net. With no extra time or penalties scheduled, the teams took a share of the trophy and the spoils.

Thanks were extended to all the staff who contributed to a fantastic afternoon, which ran smoothly. Special mention to Rachel Eastlands, Gill Pardoe and Daniel Pardoe for all their work in organising and running the event in the absence of SGO David Stacey.

Both St Lukes and The Henry Moore will be put forward to the Level 3 event later in the term (26th November at the Len Forge Centre - Southend). We wish them both the very best.
