St Lukes triumph in the mini-Hockey

Over 130 children braved the various weathers to particpate in the annual mini-hockey tournament at Mark Hall Academy. The 18 teams were pooled into 3 groups and after playing each other in the group the four group winners (one group finished with joint-winners) went forward to the semi-finals. ChruchLangley A were beaten by St Lukes A and Pear Tree Mead A overcame a spirited Katherines A to contest the final. St Lukes won the final 1-0 and lifted the trophy. 

School Games Organiser (SGO) David Stacey thanked all the teaching staff, supporters and children for their attendance and commened all the players on such fantatsic sportsmanship. A big thank you was given to the umpires (Laura Tyler, Bex Evans, Gill Pardoe, Malcolm Harries and Arnold Worton) and officals for their support to ensure such a smoothly-run event.
