Harlowbury attended the FA small schools county event yesterday which I had the pleasure of attending, I was amazed by the quality of football and the sheer grit of the team! The students literally gave it everything and got through the group stages scoring an amazing 25 goals across 6 games and only conceeding 3! Myself, Arnold and Katie were almost running on the pitch and I for one have no voice left!
Unfortunately they were unjustly knocked out in the semi-finals with 1 fluke goal by the opposition, however they went on to take 3rd place out of 14 schools which is a great achievement and I have no doubt that the team have the potential to win next year. Well done also to one of their students who despite having a disability stopping him from playing football as he would have liked to sat and put together a very detailed report of the day.
WELL DONE HARLOWBURY! a great first representation of Harlow for the first level 3 event!
