Congratulations to both Henry Moore A and B, who shared the title of winners of this year’s Tag-Rugby Finals at Harlow Rugby Club, ending the final with a thrilling 3-3 draw. Of the 40 teams who started last week, the 16 finalists produced some of the best running rugby that we have seen in the Harlow Sports Partnership. Once again thanks to the Harlow Rugby Club for supporting the event and to Luke Hammond (SGO), Sam Hammond and Gill Pardoe for assisting David Stacey (School’s Sports Partnership Manager), ensuring that the event ran smoothly.
During the afternoon the teams played within 4 groups, the winning 4 teams went through to a semi-final, where both games went to ‘golden try in extra time’, Nazeing and Church Langley were both fantastic opponents but ultimately lost out on a final place by the narrowest of margins.
Teams that qualified for the finals were:
Henry Moore 1, Henry Moore 2, Henry Moore 3, Church Langley 1, Church Langley 2, Nazeing 1, Milwards, Cooks Spinney 1, Jerounds , Katherines, Hare Street, Hare Street 2, Little Parndon 2, Longwood, Fawbert and Barnard and Roydon.
We wish Henry Moore every success when they go forward to the Level 3 event at Southend next month.
