A late change of venue prevented a few teams from attending the Year 3 and 4 Kurling Festival at Passmores, but those who turned out had a fantastic time. With Sports Leaders from Mark Hall Academy supporting the event, the 18 teams enjoyed a series of group matches, before being re-pooled twice during a busy morning’s event.
Amazingly the final top 6 places were taken by teams from Church Langley and Purford Green, with Church Langley taking all 3 medal spots. David Stacey (Partnership Manager) and Luke Hammond (SGO) gave thanks to all those involved who made the event so enjoyable with a relaxed atmosphere.
Final placings:
1stplace – Church Langley 5
2ndplace – Church Langley 1
3rdplace – Church Langley 2
4thplace – Purford Green 2
5thplace – Purford Green 3
6thplace – Purford Green 1
18 teams were involved: Church Langley 1-5; Purford Green 1-3; St James 1 and 2; The Downs; Milwards 1 and 2; Fawbert and Barnard 1-3; and Potter Street 1 and 2.
