Once again, the Best Team Football Finals was a well-attended and super event. The 10 teams who had qualified from the previous week’s round, played really well and the standard of football was high. Once the opening group game matches had been completed, the four semi-finalists played off with the additional rules of corner points and a coin toss to enable a suitable finish time. The semi-final’s were very close affairs with Hare Street narrowly being edged out by Milwards before Henry Moore lost on a ‘key-fob’ toss to Hatfield Heath. The final was a close affair, with Milwards coming from a goal down to take victory; they will represent Harlow in the forthcoming County Finals on Tuesday 21stNovember in Billericay.
The afternoon’s Best Team Football Finals was excellent; the standard of football was good and the players managed themselves better than in previous years – thank you to all the school staff on hand to support the players and coaches.
