And that's another year of primary school sport done!
And what a fantatsic way to end the year, with thet Year 1 and 2 Mini-Olympics festival. The children had an amazing time and braved the very warm weather to take part in a series of physical activities on the all-weather pitch at Church Langley Primary School.
This year’s event was an amazing end to a hugely successful year of sport in Harlow. Today 22 teams – approximately 300 children came together to run, jump, throw, chase, crawl, duck, slide and dodge their way through a series of 6 activities, all marshalled by the guidance of Church Langley’s amazing Sports Leaders.
Both the morning and the afternoon events were really well-attended, with teams from: Henry Moore, Purford Green, Potter Street, Holy Cross, St James and Jerounds joining a number of teams from Church Langley in the annual extravaganza. With music accompanying the activities, the children had a great time – the school staff enjoyed themselves too. All the children received a ‘School Games teamwork sticker’ for their efforts, presented by one of the 44 Sports Leaders used.
Thanks were given to all the staff at Church Langley who once again went above and beyond the call of duty to organise such an amazingly worthwhile event.
