Game, Set and Match – Church Langley take title
12 teams congregated inside the very warm dome at the Harlow Lawn Tennis Club to battle it out for the annual tennis awards. Competition was slightly reduced due to some schools having an extended half-term break; therefore entrees were significantly lower than expected. However, all the 48 players played well throughout the afternoon, with some making great progress and noticeable improvements in a very short time frame.
After an initial group round, the 12 teams were re-pooled. Church Langley 1, eventually ran out winners in the top-seeded group. The full results are as follows:
Group 1
1st Church Langley 1 – 9 points
2nd St Nicholas – 7 points
3rd Church Langley 2 – 5 points
4th Holy Cross – 3 points
