Re-Vamped Netball Mini-League Yrs 5/6 success

Re-Vamped Netball Mini-Leagues resounding success for Years 5 and 6

With the coronation bank holiday and subsequent change to the SATs timetable, the annual Netball Finals were re-vamped this year in favour of smaller mini-leagues held at Burnt Mill Academy, Passmores Academy and Mark Hall Academy. The feedback from the schools was positive with schools reporting a better standard and atmosphere in a less competitive environment. Again, thanks to the amazing support of school staff (In particular Cassie Broughton of Henry Moore and Phil Dawes from Burnt Mill), SGO David Stacey was able to permit a healthy 24 teams into the 3 events. Reports from the children were in favour of the smaller groups, more matches and less waiting times; suggestions for the older primary pupils to play 7-a-side netball next year will be given serious consideration in next month’s meeting.

Mark Hall Academy: Nazeing, Church Langley, Saint Nicholas, Tanys Dell and Hare Street

Burnt Mill: Freshwaters, Little Parndon, Cooks Spinney and Roydon

Passmores: Holy Cross, Henry Moore, Purford Green and
