Year 3’s and 4’s shine despite the wet conditions for Netball Festival
Once again, the Friday Sport Gods decided to test the spirit and resilience by sending persistent rain throughout the morning of the Years 3 and 4 Netball Festival at Mark Hall Academy. Despite the bleak conditions, the children thrived amongst an atmosphere of positive encouragement and coaching. 20 teams from across Harlow came together to learn and develop the game of High-5 Netball. With 40 matches played during a busy morning session the children were able to follow rotations to experience different positions on and off the courts.
SGO David Stacey once again thanked the support from the attending school staff who helped umpire and guided children through different tactics and rules that were relevant to their understanding of the game. Soaking wet sheets persuaded the umpires not to concern themselves with scores and all of the 150+ attendees received a participation certificate of achievement.
Teams who attended were: Church Langley, Little Parndon, Nazeing, Henry Moore, Purford Green, Tanys Dell, Jerounds, Katherines, Abbotsweld, Cooks Spinney, Roydon, Hare Street and Saint Nicholas
