Congratulations to the teams from Church Langley 1 and St Nicholas who shared victory in the Futsal Finals held at Mark Hall Sports Centre. The eight winners and runners-up from the previous week’s qualifiers returned from an afternoon of fast-paced futsal action. Once again, the standard of play was good, with less players on the pitch than in other football competitions, the additional space allowed better play. Once again, the goalkeeping was very impressive and goals were usually well-worked.
After the conclusion of the group games, all the teams were ranked and played a final match against the corresponding team. The final, between Church Langley 1 and St Nicholas, was a tight affair; St Nicholas took the lead, before Church Langley 1 equalised. Church Langley 1 were denied victory with a very strong save in the dying seconds of the game.
