Thanks to all the 16 teams who attended the Futsal Qualifying events at Mark Hall Academy Sports Centre on Friday. The teams were separated into a morning and afternoon session; with 8 teams organized into 2 groups. All teams were able to play a non-scoring warm-up to ensure they understood the adapted rules before commencing the group stages. The standard throughout was very good, with teams relying less on power and physicality and more on passing and movement. Some excellent goals were scored and many more prevented through excellent defensing and goal keeping.
The results were as follows: (teams in bold have qualified for next week’s finals)
