William Martin return and storm Boccia title

After the morning’s calm, the increase in teams to 18 really challenged everyone at Mark Hall Sports Centre this afternoon. The Year 6 Sports Leaders from Church Langley were supported fantastically by the school staff members to ensure that all the children took turns to complete a heavy fixture schedule.

After 45 matches, the top three teams (like everyone else) were grouped in 3’s to play a Rapid Boccia Shoot Out – 1 end, 1 ball, winner takes all! It was an exciting end to a very busy but hugely rewarding day – in fact it got a bit much for some of the adults, who were emotionally moved to see children communicating in ways that can be difficult within a classroom setting. Thank you to everyone involved today; it was fantastic.

We wish William Martin all the best in the Essex County Finals at Columbus School on Tuesday 11thJanuary 2022.
