With the lack of a Level 3 County Finals and the impact of the rising Covid cases around the town, unsurprisingly the numbers of entries for this year's Basketball events were well down on the previous years. That said, the 14 teams that joined us for the events enjoyed themselves immensely and definitely improved throughout the sessions.
The umpires were instructed not to focus on results today and as such they didn't collate the scores - the idea of some of the events is too develop enjoyment through participation; it's not always about the winning.
Teams that entered today:
Morning - Church Langley x 2; Roydon x 2; Freshwaters; and Cooks Spinney x 2
Afternoon - Church Langley x 2; Nazeing x 2; Little Parndon; Freshwaters; and Harlowbury
As ever, thank you to the school staff who continue to put their children forward for the opportunities on offer. Thanks to Daniel Smart and Sam Hammond for assisting David Stacey (SGO) in keeping these events running in quite challenging times
