Despite the hectic events of the morning’s Badminton Festival, the Dodgeball Finals were a relative breeze in comparison. With 8 teams qualifying from last week’s events, the standard of play was always going to be high. Some of the throws were brutal – the speed and intensity were both frightening and awesome to observe. The catching and tactically play was impressive and after the group rounds Fawbert and Barnard A met Potter Street in the final; again the match highlighted the high standard of skill, with Potter Street narrowly losing out to a ferocious Fawbert and Barnard team. The results of the group matches were as follows:
Group 1
Fawbert and Barnard A – 9 points
Pemberley – 7 points
The Downs C – 5 points
Church Langley A – 3 points
Group 2
Potter Street – 9 points
Church Langley C – 5 points
The Downs A – 5 points
Little Parndon – 5 points
Congratulations to Fawbert and Barnard, who will now represent Harlow in the County Finals.
