The sun continued to shine in the afternoon as 20 teams descended upon Mark Hall’s all-weather pitch to take part in the annual Year 3 and 4 football festival. Once again the standard of play was impressive throughout as was the levels of sportsmanship from both the players and spectators. With 20 teams and limited time, it proved impossible to reach a final, so the groups played out their games with the results producing the five placing’s. The results were as follows:
Group 1
Tanys Dell A – Winners
Holy Cross A – Runners-Up
Freshwaters
Holy Cross B
Tanys Dell B
Group 2
Church Langley A – Winners
St Nicholas – Runners-Up
Church Langley B
Fawbert and Barnard A
Fawbert and Barnard B
Group 3

Group 4

The Downs – Runners-Up

Huge thanks were given at the event to the fantastic staff who helped officiate throughout the afternoon; we simply couldn’t run such a large festival (and have it run so efficiently!) without their selfless support. Thanks specifically to Arnold Worton-Geer (Tanys Dell); John Esteves (The Downs); David McEwen (Cooks Spinney); Sam Mortimer (St Albans) and Alan Prentice (St Lukes).
