Huge numbers at the Years 3/4 Boccia event

Huge numbers at the Years 3/4 Boccia event

Once again, the Boccia Festival was a great success. With a staggering 27 teams arriving at the Mark Hall Sports Centre, the organization was always going to be very important. David Stacey and his staff ensured that everything was set prior to the team’s arrival, with 54 coloured coded chairs, well-prepared Sports Leaders, a busy schedule and coloured cones labels to denote the 9 pitches.

Once underway, the children really enjoyed themselves and made progress in communication and teamwork. Teams were spilt into 9 groups of 3, each being lead by Sports Leaders from Mark Hall Academy and Church Langley Primary School. Having played everyone in their group, the teams were re-pooled twice more throughout the morning, playing those of a similar ranking/standard. The children were thrilled with their progress and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of representing their school.

27 Teams attending were: Henry Moore x 3, Church Langley x 2, Nazeing x 3, Tanys Dell x 2, Purford Green x 3, Potter Street x 2, Holy Cross, Jerounds x 2, Pemberley, St James x 2, Cooks Spinney x 3 and The Downs.
