Congratulations to the young ladies from St Nicholas who took first place in this year’s Girls Cricket Finals at the Harlow Town CC. Played in the morning, before the intense heat, the 6 teams quickly adapted to the new Dynamos format – with the extra FREE HIT balls – to play 5 matches. Despite a slightly late start, the girls played really well and many of the matches were close contests – the difference often being the accuracy of the bowling and the strength of whacking the FREE HITS.
St Nicholas remained undefeated throughout with Nazeing coming a very close second. We wish them the best of luck as the contest the County Finals early in July in Chelmsford. The final results were as follows:
1st place – St Nicholas – 15 points
2nd place – Nazeing – 13 points
3rd place – Church Langley Blacks – 11 points
4th place – Church Langley Whites – 9 points
5th place – Tanys Dell – 7 points
6th place – Katherines – 5 points
