Another first for Primary School Sport in Harlow was achieved this afternoon at Mark Hall Sports Centre! Usually, we only run one C4Life event per calendar year but with the additional funding provided by Active Essex/Sport England, we were able to provide further opportunities to a group of targeted children who thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Supported by a group of young female sports leaders from Church Langley, the 6 teams enjoyed a range of activities but for the first time this event was held indoors. The sports hall was rammed with golf activities, an athletics obstacle relay track, hockey dribbling, tennis targeting, tchoukball throwing and catching and some ‘Hunger Games’ style archery and scooters! The children spent the afternoon rotating round and taking turns to experience the activities; medals were provided as a memento of the fantastic occasion.
Thanks to the staff who attended and to the children for their excellent efforts – we were so impressed throughout but were blown away with how they maturely managed the ‘free-choice’ opportunities at the end.
