And that’s Indoor Athletics done for another year!
Following on from Thursday's indoor sportshall athletics for Years 7/8 and 1/2, Friday saw the return to the more familiar territory of the Years 3/4 and 5/6. Once again both events were well supported and the children had an amazing time - the teachers in charge did really well, especially those who perhaps hadn't realised just how intense the events are; it was a steep learning curve for many of the adults but I'm sure this will stand them in good stead for next year.
The morning's event saw some excellent performances on the track and in the field by all the teams. Freshwaters (arriving late as usual), performed fantastically well to take the title from Church Langley who finished 3rdbehind Henry Moore in 2ndplace. The final scores will follows:
Freshwaters - points
Henry Moore - points
Church Langley - points
Roydon - points
Tanys Dell - points
St Albans - points
Harlowbury - points
St Lukes - points
The Downs - points
Thank you to everyone who supported the events this week. Special mention to the Sports Leaders from Church Langley who performed tirelessly throughout both days; their help was instrumental in running such smooth events, with very fuss. A great job guys and girls – well done. As always your help is greatly appreciated and together we provide amazing opportunities for the children in Harlow.
