Nazeing retain Netball Trophy for second year

Congratulations to the winning team from Nazeing, who again narrowly overcame some excellent play to take victory in this year’s Netball Finals at Mark Hall Academy.

Despite the slight delay due to the rain, the nine teams who had qualified from the previous rounds, held at local secondary schools provided a thrilling finals afternoon. The standard of play was excellent; the number of coaches on hand to assist teams really helped and the players showed real resilience and sportsmanship. The group games were close affairs, with Henry Moore, Cooks Spinney and Nazeing dominating their respective groups on their way to the final. In a close final group, Nazeing won both of their matches, with a draw between Cooks Spinney and Henry Moore in the remaining match; Henry Moore took the runners-up medals by virtue of more goals scored.

We wish Nazeing School all the very best as they represent Harlow in the Level 3 County Finals at the Basildon Sporting Village as part of this year’s Summer Games.
