X-Country Success as Henry Mooore dominate

Again, a HUGE thank you to everyone involved in the event at MHA - from the volunteers who helped marshal the courses, to the Mark Hall pupils who managed to Hare and Tortoise the 8 races, to the school staff helping each other and generally herding the children who were not running – it was a HUGE collective effort and the results were OUTSTANDING; thanks as ever to Rebecca Lott (Boo) and Gill Pardoe for their work before, during and after the event.

Special THANKS to Hayley Hible and Sam Edwards (Church Langley) who trudged across the field on Thursday evening in the darkness to set out the course and ensure that everything was ready for Friday morning.  Thanks to Elaine Luscombe (Roydon) and Michael Adams (Church Langley) who assisted the Church Langley pupils in clearing the event poles, litter and tape.

Alongside the 700+ runners there were another 500 adults in attendance making it clearly the largest event we hold. Splitting the events worked really well and the kids clearly had a great time; the early start time ensured that the event was packed away by 3.10pm. Thanks to the spectators who, in the main, followed the guidance about staying to the designated area and away from the schools.

Congratulations to all the individual and team medallists, not to mention the countless numbers of runners who succeeded and ran great races themselves. The results have been emailed to all schools and the individual medallists (top 5) from each race and the winning team from each race are now invited to attend the County Level 3 finals on 26th April 2019. We wish them well.
