Congratulations to Nazeing Primary, who ran out winners of this year’s Tag-Rugby Finals at Harlow Rugby Club, narrowly edging out Hare Street in the final. Of the 38 teams who started last week, the 10 finalists produced some of the best running rugby that we have seen in the Harlow Sports Partnership. Once again thanks to Michael Weston at the Harlow Rugby Club for supporting the event and to Rebecca Lott and Gill Pardoe for assisting David Stacey (SGO Harlow), ensuring that the event ran smoothly.
During the afternoon the teams played within 2 groups, the results were as follows:
Group 1
Nazeing – 12 points
Henry Moore A – 9 points
Church Langley B - 8 points
Hatfield Heath - 7 points
St Nicholas B – 5 points
Group 2
Hare Street - 9 points (went through on tries scored)
Church Langley A - 9 points
St Nicholas A – 9 points
Katherine’s - 9 points
Henry Moore B – 4 points
We wish Nazeing every success when they go forward to the Level 3 event at Southend next week.
