Well done to the 9 teams who arrived on a blisteringly hot afternoon to take part in Harlow’s first ever Rapid Fire Cricket Festival. The children didn’t disappoint and with Charlotte Read (Essex CC) on hand to offer tips and advice the children really improved the standard of play throughout the afternoon. Though the event wasn’t designed to be a ‘competition’ this year, there were standout performances from Hare Street B and the teams from Church Langley A and B.
As organisers and coaches, we have certainly understood what is required in order to improve the standard of play for next year, with some minor tweaks being madeto the layout of the pitches and timings for next year.
