Congratulations to the 18 participating teams who attended today's Kwik-Cricket Festival for Years 3 and 4 at Harlow Town Cricket Club. Once again the weather was very kind and the early cloud moved on to leave us all basking in the glorious sunshine. Throughout the day the teams were able to develop their skills through a series of games in both the morning and the afternoon.
Once again we were very thankful for the support of some fantastic staff members (Ray Eastlands, John Esteves, Miles McCarthy, Max Steele, Neil Coster, Gill Pardoe, Rebecca Lott and Gemma Nicholson) who were all terrific in their roles as coaches and umpires, ensuring all the games allowed the children time to develop the skills of bowling, batting and fielding.
Having played group matches the teams were re-pooled according to league results, with the stronger teams pitted against each other. The afternoon saw more competitive matches, with equally matched teams pitting their skills against each other.
Thanks were given to the Harlow Town CC for hosting another amazing opportunity for the children of Harlow.
