Congratulations to the winning team from Nazeing, who narrowly overcame some excellent play by Hatfield Heath Primary School to take victory in this year’s Netball Finals at Mark Hall Academy.
Ten teams had qualified from the previous rounds, held at local secondary schools, and the standard of play was excellent; the number of coaches on hand to assist teams really helped and the players showed real resilience and sportsmanship. The group games were close affairs, with both the Hatfield Heath and Nazeing dominating their respective groups on their way to the final. In a close final, Nazeing just outscored Hatfield Heath 5-3, though it was an excellent match, played without incident. Fawbert and Barnard and Church Langley drew 5-5 in the 3rd/4thplace playoff and were both awarded equal 3rdplace. We wish Nazeing School all the very best as they represent Harlow in the Level 3 County Finals at the Basildon Sporting Village as part of this year’s Summer Games.
