Congratulations to the winning teams from St Albans and Church Langley who shared the Girls Kwik-Cricket trophy. The event, held once again at the Harlow Town CC, was well attended by 13 teams who enjoyed the warm weather and great facilities. The girls struggled a little with the windy conditions towards the end of the day but had made significant progress with their bowling, fielding and batting skills throughout the tournament.
Having played some early group games the teams were re-organised into 3 groups to pay for the Trophy, Shield and Plate. The teams played really well and some amazing catches and huge hits were seen across the playing field. In a tense finish both St Albans and Church Langley A won 2 games and drew with each other – it was decided to share the trophy. Hopefully both teams will be put forward to represent Harlow at the Girls County Finals on Monday 26thJune at Billericay CC. The teams listed below competed today.
