Gifted and Talented day 2 - April 2017

Well done to all the 80+ children who attended the second of our Gifted and Talented Days at the Harlow Leisure Zone. Throughout the day the children managed to cope well with the unfamiliar surroundings and the demands which come with ‘being on constant public display’. During the morning sessions the children were split into 5 groups and undertook a range of activities including Tri-Golf, Tennis (led by Luke Spooner from the Harlow Tennis Club), a junior Body Attack session (led by Karen Abbott) and some thrilling climbing on the Vertigo towers. The afternoon session was led by Jenny Bater from the dance club, Hip-Hop-Pop; the children were amazing and some showed natural rhythm and flair. The day’s event culminating in the children performing some of their new dance moves to a large crowd of parents and family - such was the enthusiasm, some of the adults were invited to join the children in busting some shapes.

Once again our thanks for such an amazing opportunity must go to the Leisure Zone, the coaches and the organisers (David Stacey - SGO Harlow and Gill Pardoe - Church Langley Primary School). It was another amazing opportunity for so many children, to inspire and continue to motivate their love of sport.
