Church Langley take the Tag-Rugby title

Congratulations to Church Langley A, who ran out winners of this year’s Tag-Rugby Finals at Mark Hall Academy.

Of the 42 teams who started last week, the 10 finalists produced some of the best running rugby that we have ever witnessed in the Harlow Sports Partnership. During the afternoon the 10 teams were divided into 2 groups, playing each other for a chance to play in the final. The results of the afternoon were as follows:

Group A

Church Langley A - 12 points

Nazeing - 8 points

Milwards - 8 points

St Albans B - 6 points

William Martin - 6 points

Group B

St Albans A - 10 points

Church Langley B - 10 points

Purford Green - 7 points

St Lukes - 7 points

Jerounds - 6 points

Church Langley A played off against St Albans A in the final, with Nazeing playing Church Langley B for 3rdand 4thplaces. Both ‘finals’ were thrilling and rounded off an excellent afternoon of rugby.

Church Langley A eventually won 5-1 against St Albans, whilst Nazeing narrowly edged out Church Langley B 4-3.

We wish Church Langley A every success when they go forward to the Level 3 event at Southend in March 2017.
