Congratulations to the team from Pear Tree Mead (1) who triumphed at the recent Year 3 and 4 Tennis Festival held inside on the fantatsic courts at the Harlow Tennis Club. Will Calvert, Luke Spooner and a team of members from The HTC were on hand to deliver a morning of skills and practises to the 16 teams of 4 players from a variety of Harlow Primary Schools.
The afternoon saw the children put into practise those skills in singles matches, were the eventual top 8 placings were as follows:
1. - Pear Tree Mead A
2. - Tany's Dell A
3. - St Lukes A
4. - Church Langley
5. - Fawbert & Barnard A
6. - Pear Tree Mead B
7. - St Lukes B
8. - Millwards
Thanks as always to the staff from the schools who really make a concerted effort to provide these fantatsic opportunities to the children; thanks to the Harlow Tennis Club for their support in organsiing such a wonder ful festival.
