Well done to the 16 teams who braved the inclement weather conditions to take part in our Year 3/4 Netball Festival at Mark Hall Academy this afternoon. Over 100 youngsters from our local primary schools really enjoyed themselves playing a series of matches where the emphasis upon developing their skills was clearly evident. The children responded really positively to the level of encouragement and direction from all the adult staff members and umpires, who were able to move freely in and around the courts to help the children progress without feeling pressured to win.
The afternoon was another great success for Harlow and forms part of our legacy, which we continue to build with regard to encouraging a love of sport. Our thanks again must go to Harlow SGO - David Stacey (Church Langley Primary School) and his team, they organise these events so well and allow the children to really enjoy being fully involved.
