Congratulations to the super team from Henry Moore who stormed to victory in this year’s Netball Finals. 10 teams were due to compete in this year’s finals at Mark Hall Academy (Church Langley A, Church Langley B, Churchgate, Hatfield Heath, Sheering, Fawbert and Barnard, Henry Moore, St Albans and Pear Tree Mead – though unfortunately Little Parndon didn’t show). The teams were grouped into 2 pools and competed in some very exciting games; the standard was really impressive and very competitive - several players received medical attention to scrapes, bumps and cuts. The final positions at the end of the group stages were:
Group 1:
Henry Moore – 12 points.
Hatfield Heath – 9 points
Fawbert and Barnard – 9 points
Sheering – 6 points
Little Parndon – 0 points
Group 2:
Church Langley A – 12 points
Churchgate - – 9 points
Pear Tree Mead - – 9 points
Church Langley B – 6 points
St Albans – 4 points
In a keenly contested final, Henry Moore secured victory with some very accurate shooting; ending the game 6-1 in front. Both teams played the match with great spirit. Our thanks as always to David Stacey (SGO Harlow) for organising the event. We wish Henry Moore the very best in the County Finals, taking place late in the Summer term.
