Congratulations to the Henry Moore football team, who represented Harlow and performed fantasically well at the regional football finals in Southend. The team finished fourth in the West Essex Region, which is an amazing achievement.
Below is a report from Curtis Balboni (Henry Moore Team Manager)
After managing to qualify through the Harlow section of the FA schools cup without conceding a goal, the Henry Moore team travelled to Southend for the regional finals, with two spaces in the South East tournament on offer. We started well, winning the first game 1-0. A disappointing 1-0 defeat followed (our first goal conceded in 10 matches!) before winning the next two matches in the group 1-0 to qualify for a finals match. We battled hard to draw 1-1 in normal time with Kelvedon St Mary's from Colchester, but the game unfortunately slipped away from us in extra time and we lost the match 3-1. We are incredibly proud of them and their super achievement. Managers Curtis Balboni and Tom Viollet
