Church Langley secure the Brister Cup

Church Langley narrowly edged out Roydon Primary to take first place in this year’s Rounders Finals, claiming the Brister Cup. With 4 teams (St Nicholas, William Martin, Roydon and Church Langley) qualifying from the previous festivals held at different venues, the games came fast and furious; the standard of play was yet again impressive, in what is always a very complicated game to play. Pleasingly the finals event was played in a very sporting manner by all the teams involved, with spectators encouraging all players. Eventually first place was decided by Rounders difference, such was the close scoring; Church Langley narrowly edging out Roydon, with William Martin 3rd and St Nicholas 4th.

Thanks once again to Angela Brister (William Martin) for her tireless work with Rounders; she organises the tournament behind the scenes and ensures the smooth running during the finals. Angela continues to inspire children to play in this fantastic game - this year 22 primary school's took part, which is over 200 pupils. A fantastic achievement!
