With the sun beating down and the conditions under foot perfect, over 550 children were cheered on by a large crowd during this year's annual Cross Country festival. The fields at Paringdon Sports Centre were in near perfect condition as hundreds of children puffed and panted their way around the undulating course.
Congratulations and medals were given to the top 3 place finishers in each of the 8 races, with team medals given to winning runners. Henry Moore continue to dominate the event and their hard work and preparation showed as they took many individual placing’s whilst winning 6 out of the 8 team events. Church Langley (Year 5 boys) and St Nicholas (joint Year 6 boys) were the only teams to challenge the Kiln Lane School.
Huge thanks were given to Paul and Gina Bailey, the Harlow Athletics Club, the staff at Paringdon Sports Centre and the various 'hares and tortoises' who helped the event run so smoothly. What an amazing achievement by the Primary schools of Harlow - yet again everyone has pulled together to provide our children with an amazing opportunity.
