Church Langley win Cricket Trophy

Church Langley A team succeeded in retaining the 'Shohaib Sakoor Best Team Cricket Trophy' for the second year running. Harlow Town CC was again the venue as 13 teams from across the town competed for the trophy, dedicated to memeory of the Abbotsweld pupil who was tragically killed in a house fire. With the pool stages completed, teams were then re-grouped into further games for the afternoon. With the sun blazing across the fields, it was great to see so many children competeing and having fun. Church Langley A team eventually secured victory with victories over Holy Cross A (314 for 1 v 222 for 1); St Albans A (278 for 2 v 203 for 11) and Abbotsweld (278 for 2 v 241 for 7).

Church Langley will go forward to the county finals at Hutton CC on Wednesday 25th June; we wish them all the very best.
